Reviews note the Duo’s “impeccable ensemble”, "...spectacular performance!", “great musicianship and versatility”, and “delicate phrasing and expressive lines…many moments of brilliance and excitement.“ Performances, workshop presentations, and master classes have taken the Transcontinental Piano Duo to concert venues in CA, NC, SC, AR, NY, NJ, OH, CT, WI, IA, AZ, NH, MA, ME and VT. Recent highlights include a 6 university recital/master class tour of Wisconsin and Iowa, an enthusiastically received workshop on duo piano techniques presented at the 2012 MTNA National Conference in NYC and at the World Piano Pedagogy Conference, a performance at Arizona’s prestigious Steinway Chamber Music Festival, and their latest recording, French Piano Four-Hands with the Elegant Erard (1877)… music of Debussy, Fauré, Bizet, and Ravel performed on an historic instrument… released by Centaur Records.

The Transcontinental Piano Duo is excited about sharing their innovative performances, workshops and master classes with audiences coast to coast. The Duo offers a variety of programs, including a special recital with commentary focusing upon various aspects of four-hands playing and duo repertoire. Professional performers and passionate teachers who have earned praise nationwide, their joint master classes (solo or duo repertoire) have been enthusiastically received by teachers and participants at the pre-college through graduate student level. The Transcontinental Piano Duo is ideally suited to serve as guest artists, clinicians and/or adjudicators for state and national conferences

Exciting Concerts in the next Four Days!
Jan and I are really excited about playing for you again in Rutland and Burlington, Vermont and in Peabody, Massachusetts. See the list of upcoming concerts in the left sidebar for details. It's a fun program which we have really been enjoying, featuring many beloved works for piano 4-hands... Faure's Dolly Suite, Dvorack Slavonic Dances, Bernstein's Overture to Candide, Ravel's Mother Goose, and more... plus a Q and A period where you get to ask us about the music and our work as a Duo. Also, Jan presents a free Master Class at St. Paul's Cathedral this Saturday morning, April 28th, 9:30 to noon. All are welcome.
